When difficult sealing problems arise, extruded sponge profiles provide the combination of gasket shapes and flexibility that is required. Our die making happens completely in-house. This allows us to produce cords, rectangles, tubes and even more complex geometries. In-house mixing allows for a myriad of materials with wide compression deflection ratings, ranging from ASTM D 1056 2D1 soft density to ASTM D 1056 2D5 extra firm density. There is a self-forming skin that increases the profile’s water absorption resistance; also, we offer a version that is flame retardant in each density range, so sealing can occur in extreme situations. Furthermore, there is a version with FDA ingredients that is fully approved, allowing use where FDA compliance is necessary. We also offer our extruded silicone sponge profiles in any color, so they can fit the overall look for your assembly.
